ABOUT THE ARTIST 

Donjhaé Jones is a vibrant African-American visual artist with roots in Florida and Georgia. Her artistic journey began during her sophomore year of college when she first picked up an acrylic paintbrush. Since then, she has expanded her practice to include photography, digital art, and immersive creative events, blending traditional and contemporary methods to create dynamic, engaging experiences.

Her art celebrates the intricate beauty of nature, the vibrancy of city life, and the poise and grace of African-American women. Through her acrylic paintings, photography, and digital works, Donjhaé explores a rich tapestry of themes—juxtaposing lush landscapes and delicate florals with the energy of urban environments to reflect the interconnectedness of natural and man-made worlds. In portraying African-American women, she uses rich, warm colors and textured layers to highlight their beauty, depth, and presence.
